Overview: On January 22, 2016 Artist Michele Pred was joined by collaborators to send Her Body Her Business t-shirts to all US Presidential candidates (at that time 15). They meet outside of a Planned Parenthood in Oakland CA and marched over to the main Post Office facility and held a rally before sending out the shirts.

About project: Artist Michele Pred in collaboration with Janis Anton, Beatriz Escobar, Yvette Molina, Abbey Hayward encourage laughter and fun while engaging the public in conversations about human rights and sexual politics. Her Body Her Business is about doing something for a cause that is engaging, tangible and different. Our group is an eclectic assembly of people with a wide variety of experiences with feminism and reproductive rights. By expanding the scope of the action and inviting even more people to take a direct part, we also mean to help break down the notion of a single feminist persona. It’s all about connecting and sharing.

Michele Pred is a Swedish-American conceptual artist. She works with found and confiscated objects imbued with cultural and political meaning and is interested in creating moments of public activism.
