About project: Who says activism can’t be fun? Artist Michele Pred engages the public in conversations about human rights and sexual politics. #HerBodyHerVote is about doing something for a cause that is engaging, tangible and different. By expanding the scope of the action and inviting even more people to take a direct part, she also means to help break down the notion of a single feminist persona. It’s all about connecting and sharing.

Michele Pred is a Swedish-American conceptual artist. She works with found and confiscated objects imbued with cultural and political meaning and is interested in creating moments of public activism.

"Ms Pred's work is an important offering for its relevance to the times."
- Supreme Court Justice, Sonia Sotomayor

Michele Pred received a Pro-Choice Leadership Award from Personal PAC at the Weinberg/Newton Gallery, Chicago on June 9. Here is a video they produced about her work.
